If you want to attract a variety of different wild species to your garden then a bird Bath or bird table an ideal complement to any wildlife gardening plan. Bird tables can be used for the provision of a whole range of different food and if you’re providing food for birds a water supply is an absolute necessity.

Garden bird tables are available in an array of designs including:

Metal tables
Cement bird tables
Concrete bird tables
Contemporary bird tables
Wooden bird tables

In fact, there are hundreds of different designs to different garden layouts and different levels of formality, from rustic wooden models for a natural wildlife garden with stone and cement models for more formal urban gardens.

My personal favorite is a rustic design, usually wooden with a slate or thatch. Something that in with natural surroundings but modern design fits can look just as good in the right garden environment.

If you are planning a feeding station in your garden can then also be supplemented by a number of different bird feeders designed to keep seeds, nuts and even suet balls.

If you have any type of bird feeding station, then a good supply of water must be available for birds to drink. A Bad Bird is an excellent way to this vital supply and birds will encourage other activities such as Dorian ‘s, cleaning and baths. Again these are available in a range of designs from rustic to modern and it is even possible to get hanging bird baths for use on a balcony of an apartment. Therefore, you can enjoy watching birds close to your home even if you’re right in the Centre of a city.

Bird tables or bird Baths should be positioned, if possible, in a more remote part of the garden but protect against predators such as cats. Place them in the eye of the House or patio cover but with enough or far enough away that the birds will feel safe. It is important, once you start to feed birds and delivery of water, so the delivery, in particular through the winter when food is scarce. Check the bath regularly for evaporation or at which the water has frozen.

Are you a DIY enthusiast there are many sites on the internet that woodworking wants to offer you creating your own bird table or bird bath.

Wild birds are a wonderful addition to any garden. One of the best ways to attract them is to use a bird feeder and ensure there is a steady supply of nuts, seeds and suet for them to eat throughout the year. Bird feeders are cheap to buy and there are several designs to keep different kinds of wild bird food.

For peanuts, is usually a tube-shaped design made of thread used. The holes are generally small enough for beaks to get through but too small for a utility to come without being broken down.

For suet is a larger diameter tube with a larger holes perfect for keeping 2 or 3 suet balls or cakes at the same time.

Usually feeders are hung on a tree or pole or several together attract many different species of birds to form a bird feeding station can be placed.

Must be made to place the bird feeders from predators to reach. Cats will prey on close to the ground feeding birds and squirrels will steal the food and the feeder can vandalise. For this reason, place the bird feeder high enough and far enough away from the trunk, wall or building to stop cats and squirrels from jumping on the feeder.

It is always a good idea to check whether the water birds also when feeding so offer a bird table or similar with a dish of water near to the food. Birds need food especially in the winter, but it is a good idea to keep feeding them throughout the year, once you’ve started.

There are also special bird feeders designs available that contain: Squirrel proof bird feeders and window bird feeders.

A variety of wild bird food is available including nuts, seeds & suet balls. Each garden bird species has its own preference but some will eat a variety of food. Be especially careful with nuts, they need only certified bird nuts and not the notes that people from the supermarket food if these toxic to birds.
