Suet Bird Feeder

Just my dog coffey and I loving the suet feeder we put out for the birds recently but got squirrels instead. In many ways it is better and more entertaining to watch them rather than the birds. Sort of on the long side but we enjoyed watching the squirrels hang upside down stretch and reach to get the suet.

Songbirds just splashing around and cooling off on a warm day. Enjoy!

The first bird eating the suet close up is a downy woodpecker, I believe. A male cardinal ( red colors) shows up, some brown & white sparrows, and the smallest black & white birds are chickadees. The last bird was a young chickadee who allowed me to stand right underneath it to film. These birds are used to close human contact. You can be really close while they chow down without them really caring. You can hear their wings beating as they’re flying around you. Thanksgiving holiday- 11-25-2010 At my sister’s house.
